The data is in your CRM. The report is by hand.

For businesses whose jobs, invoices, or client records sit in field-service or CRM software. This is experience, not a connector: work we and our founder have done, available as custom work.

The answer is in the system. Getting it out is the job.

Field-service and CRM software hold the jobs, invoices, and client records a business runs on. Reporting from them usually means exporting a file and rebuilding the same summary by hand, week after week.

Client review documents are the same story. The facts are already in the CRM, and someone retypes them into a fresh document for each client. The data stays trapped in one system, and the copy in the report drifts from the record.

What we built

Our experience includes two builds on systems of record: a field-service reporting dashboard we built and ran, and CRM automation our founder built in a previous role, described on our founder’s portfolio (opens in a new tab).

Field service: the platform
A reporting dashboard we built on Service Fusion, field-service software for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical businesses, for an HVAC company.
Field service: what it read
Customers, jobs, invoices, estimates, and technicians, through the Service Fusion REST API, shown as an overview with a recent-jobs table and one table per record type.
Field service: sign-in and storage
An admin authorized the connection once through OAuth. The refresh token was encrypted and stored on our server, and the client’s team signed in to 2diff.io to view the reports.
Field service: data flow
It only read records. It never created, changed, or deleted anything in the field-service account.
CRM: the platform
Our founder built automation on the Redtail CRM API at an investment advisory firm.
CRM: the result
Client-review documents filled from the CRM, the system of record, so meeting prep is a data pull rather than a manual assembly step.

Boundaries and status

Status: Historical project (Service Fusion); experience, not a connector (Redtail); both available as custom work

  • Historical: the field-service dashboard shipped in November 2025 and was retired in January 2026. It is not running today.
  • Experience, not a connector: the CRM work was built inside another firm. It is not a 2diff.io product and is not for sale.
  • Neither is endorsed by, or affiliated with, the software vendors. The field-service dashboard read records through the vendor’s API. The CRM work was automation that filled client-review documents from CRM data.
  • Available as custom work: reporting from the field-service or CRM system you already run, scoped to your business.
