Give your clients a plain-language read of their books
The statements you send can go unread, and the questions wait for tax season. 2diff Business by 2diff.io is web-based financial analytics software that reads a client's QuickBooks® Online reports and explains them in plain language, on the Silver plan for $19.99 a month. It never writes to the books, and you stay the advisor.
Why clients skip the statements you send
A profit and loss and a balance sheet are written for people who read them every day. A business owner who sees a page of account lines often cannot tell what changed or why it matters, so the questions wait for the next meeting. A glossary of the terms helps, and an analysis written for the owner helps more.
What your client sees
2diff Business connects to the client's own QuickBooks® Online company and turns the reports into an analysis the client can read between your meetings:
- the profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, by month, quarter or year;
- financial ratios tracked over time, with observations;
- month and quarter trends and a forecast;
- plain-language AI answers about the client's own figures (analysis, not advice);
- CSV and Excel downloads to bring to a meeting with you.
The comparison page sets this beside a bookkeeper, a fractional CFO, a spreadsheet and the built-in reports.
You stay the advisor
2diff Business gives analysis and observations about the client's own figures, not recommendations. Bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll and tax filing stay in the accounting software and with you. When the client needs professional guidance on tax, compliance or a major financial decision, that conversation is yours, and it starts from a client who has already seen what the numbers show.
The app never writes to the books
2diff Business only reads company information, the chart of accounts and the profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in the books, and it does not read individual transactions, customer and vendor lists, banking credentials or payroll data. The client can disconnect at any time; the disconnect page explains what happens to the stored data, and the security page covers how it is protected.
How a client gets started
The client subscribes for their own business. 2diff Business has four plans, and the connected analysis above is Silver, $19.99 a month, month to month. Free runs on a fictional landscaping company with no card, so a client can look before connecting anything, and Gold, with premium AI models, is coming. For a landscaping client, see the landscaping industry page.
For a client with no accounting software, the Bronze plan of 2diff Business by 2diff.io builds statements, ratios and a forecast from a few annual figures typed into a short form, for $9.99 a month, with no AI.
2diff Business is licensed for a business's own internal use. Client by client plans for accountants and advisors are not available yet; if you want to use it with your clients, email info@2diff.io.
