AI Models and Providers
AI Insights answers questions about your own statements with the model you pick in the app sidebar. 2diff Business Silver draws on a curated catalog from three providers, and your plan decides which models you can select, and you can switch anytime. 2diff Business Bronze is the no-AI plan.
What 2diff Business does with the model you pick
The model is one setting inside AI Insights, not a separate product. You choose it, you choose which of your figures it reads, and every answer comes back in the same chat beside your reports. Here is the path from a question to an answer.
Pick a model in the sidebar
Open AI Model in the AI Insights group of the app sidebar. The list holds every model your plan allows. 2diff Business Silver starts on Claude Opus 4.7. Response Length sits in the same item: Quick, Medium, or Thorough.
Choose what the model sees
Open AI Context below it and tick the parts of your data to send: Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Ratios, Forecast, Goals, and Valuation, plus the years to include. Goals and Valuation start switched off. Your company name is never sent.
Ask in plain language
Type a question in AI Insights. 2diff Business builds a context package from the figures you ticked, sends it with your question to the model you picked, and shows the answer in the chat, worked from your own numbers rather than a generic example.
Switch for a second view
Change the model at any point and ask again. The same context goes to the new model and your chat history stays, so you can compare how two models read the same year.

Claude Opus 4.7 is 2diff Business's starting model. It handles the full range of financial analysis questions well, with structured explanations, ratio interpretation, trend analysis, and plain-language summaries of financial statements. For the highest reasoning depth, 2diff Business adds Claude Opus 4.8 in the Flagship band. For the fastest responses on simple lookups, Claude Haiku 4.5 or GPT-5 Nano are the lightest options.
Google (Gemini)
Google's Gemini models offer massive context windows, up to 1 million tokens, which means they can process extensive financial histories in a single analysis.

The 1 million token context window is particularly useful if you have years of financial history. Gemini can hold all of it in memory at once, making it effective for long-range trend analysis.
Access and AI Request Limits
Where you can use the AI, which models you get, and the request limits on each surface. The public demo serves a small two-model allowlist and is rate-limited per visitor plus capped globally; signed-in Silver subscribers run on the full AI Insights endpoint with anti-abuse rate limits and a daily allowance. The allowance is a daily ceiling on tokens or model spend, not a question count.

The demo’s daily AI allowance is a global ceiling of 2 million tokens or $2.00 of model usage per day, whichever comes first, shared across all visitors; the per-visitor request caps above bound any single IP. Silver subscribers run on the full AI Insights endpoint with anti-abuse request limits and the daily allowance above: a daily ceiling on tokens or model spend, whichever comes first, not a question count. Spend is priced per model, so a day on a flagship model reaches the cap sooner than a day on the default model.

For a second opinion, switch models and ask the same question. You can change models at any point during a conversation. Switching models keeps your session going.
Privacy and Data Handling
Financial data requires the highest level of protection. Here is how 2diff Business handles AI and your data:
- Not used for training: We never use your financial data to train AI models, and each provider's API terms state that API content is not used to train theirs.
- Handled under the provider's terms: Your request goes to the provider you select, which handles it, including how long it keeps it, under its own API terms. We link to those terms from our Privacy Policy and do not control them. We do not store the AI conversation on our servers after your session.
- Not shared: Your data is never shared with other users or advertisers. For AI, it goes only to the provider you select.
- Minimal data sent: Only the financial data relevant to your question is included in the AI request. We do not send your entire accounting history for every query.
- Encrypted in transit: All communication with AI providers uses TLS 1.2 or higher encryption.
