How BizAnalyzer Works — QuickBooks Connection and Setup
BizAnalyzer setup, accounting software connection, OAuth 2.0 accounting, financial data integration, financial software integration
Your QuickBooks already has the answers. BizAnalyzer surfaces them.
Connect in five minutes. No IT department. No training. No accountant on speed dial.
How it works
Create your account
Sign up at 2diff.io. No credit card required to start exploring.
Connect to QuickBooks®
Click "Connect to QuickBooks" in your dashboard. You will be redirected to Intuit's official login page. Log in with your QuickBooks® credentials on their site — we never see your password. Review the permissions we are requesting and approve them.
Your data loads
BizAnalyzer retrieves your financial data read-only from QuickBooks® Online. Your P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and chart of accounts are processed and ready. Data is fetched on demand and cached briefly for performance. Nothing is modified in your QuickBooks® account.
Review your reports
Automated P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and year-to-date summaries are available immediately. Period-over-period comparisons and ratio analysis run automatically.
Ask the AI
Open AI Insights and ask questions in plain language. The AI analyzes your actual financial data using Retrieval-Augmented Generation — your specific numbers, not generic advice. Choose from 15 models across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Switch models anytime.
What we access — and what we don't
BizAnalyzer is authorized via Intuit's official OAuth 2.0 API. You grant read-only access to specific financial data. We never touch your credentials, payroll records, or anything outside the scope below.
What we read (read-only)
- Company name and fiscal year settings
- Chart of accounts
- Profit and loss data
- Balance sheet data
- Cash flow data
- Transaction history (dates, amounts, categories)
- Customer and vendor names (for receivables/payables analysis)
What we never access
- Your QuickBooks® password (entered only on Intuit's site)
- Bank account credentials or numbers
- Tax returns or payroll details
- Employee Social Security numbers
- Credit card numbers
- Any data outside the permissions you approve during setup
Our integration is strictly read-only. BizAnalyzer cannot create, modify, or delete anything in your QuickBooks® account. Your financial data is never used to train AI models and is never sold or shared with third parties.
How your data is protected
Encrypted Transmission
All data between your browser, our servers, and QuickBooks® is encrypted using TLS 1.3.
Encrypted Storage
OAuth tokens and sensitive data are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
Token Security
Access tokens are short-lived and automatically refreshed. They are never exposed to your browser.
Audit Logging
We maintain logs of all data access for security monitoring and compliance.
How to disconnect: Go to Settings in your BizAnalyzer dashboard, find the connected service, and click "Disconnect." Confirm the disconnection.
What happens when you disconnect: We immediately lose the ability to retrieve new data. Cached data is purged according to our retention policy. You can reconnect anytime by going through the authorization process again.
Revoking from the Intuit side: You can also revoke access directly from your Intuit account at apps.intuit.com/myapps. This immediately invalidates our access tokens.
